Thyolo launches K598m school project

Learners from Senior Chief Nchilamwera and surrounding areas in Thyolo will soon have better access to quality education with the launch of construction for the K598 million Thyolo Boma Primary School.

The project is part of the World Bank-funded US$100 million grant provided to local councils through the Governance to Enable Service Delivery initiative.

The development has sparked excitement among local communities and traditional leaders, as nearby schools are 5 kilometres apart, posing challenges for learners.

The project’s contractor said they are set to finish the work in 150 days.
