Muslims call for tolerance, love

Chairperson for the Sunni Foundation, Amir Patel, has called upon Muslims in the country to always promote peace and love to one another.

Patel made these remarks after Eid Prayers at Lilongwe Main Mosque.

He called for a collective approach in dealing with various challenges the country is facing regardless of the religion background.

“It through love that we can manage to prosper together in the country, we need to good deeds during this time of Eid so that the underprivileged understands the love of Allah,” Patel said.

Patel also emphasized the need to always show kindness and generosity, and demonstrates the importance of coming together to support those in need, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Sheikh Hajji Yatimu of Lilongwe Mosque urged Muslims to celebrate responsibly by showing love to one another.

Muslims observe Ramadan not only through fasting and prayer but also by extending generosity to the less fortunate, culminating in the celebration of Eid.
