Board chairperson for Emerging Public Leaders Malawi (EPL), Arthur Chibwana, says the youth are pivotal to attaining Malawi 2063 aspirations.
Chibwana made the remarks at Mponela in Dowa when he officially opened a 3-day emerging public leaders workshop.
This training is aimed at drilling 35 youths, who were recruited in the first EPL cohort, with desired skills for progressive public service.
Chibwana also tipped youths to consider venturing into entrepreneurship whilst pursuing their careers.
Principal Secretary in the Department of Human Resource Management, Ian Chingwalu, applauded the cohort for being exemplary as no negative reports have been recorded by his office six months after the cohort got oriented.
EPL is conducting the training with support from Mastercard Foundation and partners from the Civil Service Commission, Department of the Human Resources Management and the Malawi School of Government.
