World Vision Malawi has launched a $44 million (Approx. K76 Billion) ENOUGH campaign project which is aimed at eradicating hunger and malnutrition among children in Malawi.
The launch took place in the area of Traditional Authority Kapondo in Mchinji.
World Vision Malawi Country Director Francis Dube highlighted the campaign as a significant step toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Malawi 2063 vision.
Dube noted that despite Malawi’s ability to produce sufficient food, many families still struggle to provide adequately for their children.
He said the three-year project will focus on strengthening local food systems, advocating for policies that prioritise children’s nutrition, and empowering communities to build resilience against hunger.
Minister of Gender, Jean Sendeza, reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all children receive proper and nutritious food.
The Enough campaign will be implemented across all 28 districts of Malawi.
