Organisers of National Product Magazine’s Top Product Awards have announced that all is set for the 2024 event, scheduled for this evening at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
The awards aim to honour outstanding achievements in manufacturing, supply chain management, and entrepreneurial ventures across Southern Africa.
This year’s ceremony coincides with the magazine’s celebration of its 105th issue, a milestone that solidifies its position as a key advocate for industrial excellence. The event is expected to attract an elite gathering of manufacturers, innovators, suppliers, and entrepreneurs.
Speaking ahead of the gala, Arthur Chinyamula, Chief Executive Officer of National Product Magazine, highlighted the importance of the awards in fostering industrial growth and innovation.
“This is more than just a celebration; it is an opportunity to recognise individuals and organisations driving progress in Malawi’s economy. By celebrating their achievements, we hope to inspire others to raise the bar even higher,” said Chinyamula.
The Minister of Trade and Industry, Sosten Gwengwe, is expected to attend the ceremony. According to Patrick Botha, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the minister’s presence underscores the government’s commitment to supporting local industries.
“This administration prioritises industrial growth and innovation. The Minister of Trade and Industry, Sosten Gwengwe’s attendance at the event is a clear indication of the government’s dedication to empowering businesses and creating a conducive environment for economic development,” Botha explained.
The gala will commence at 6:30 pm, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to network with industry captains and peers. Winners across various categories will be announced during the evening, showcasing Malawi’s finest in manufacturing, supply chains, and entrepreneurship.
