Sten Lifa and Asimenye Simwaka have qualified for the African Senior Athletics Championship in Cameroon.
They broke records at the All Comers Internationals Meet which was being held in Zambia from 11 to 12 May, 2024.
Simwaka shined in the 100m by finishing in 11.56 seconds and in a 200m race where she finished in 23.27 seconds.
Lifa finished the 100m race in 10.22 seconds and 20.81 seconds in the 200m race.
The athletes were expected to arrive through the Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.
This will act as preparation for the atheletes in the 2024 Paris Olympics, scheduled to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024 in France.
