K22M clinic opened in Mzuzu

Residents of Lupaso in Mzuzu have expressed gratitude for a newly constructed under-five clinic, which is expected to improve the health and livelihoods of children in the area.

Group Village Headman Wayinga Singini shared the community’s excitement as Mzuzu City Council, along with the area’s Member of Parliament, Bennex Mwamlima, officially handed over the K22 million project to the people of Lupaso.

Mwamlima said improving healthcare services in the city indirectly helps promote development.

Senior Health Promotion Officer for Mzimba North, Lovemore Kawayi, said in addition to serving under-five children, the clinic will offer services such as blood sugar testing and blood pressure monitoring.

Senior Environmental Health Officer at Mzuzu City Council, Augustine Gama, urged residents to take good care of the facility.
