Zantchito reviews labour laws

European Union funded Zantchito Skills For Jobs Programme has organized a two-day workshop in Lilongwe to review the country’s labour laws.

Participants will review problems that employees and employers face, in the hope of creating a good working environment.

Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Chikondano Mussa, highlighted that child labour laws will also come under scrutiny in order to protect children from labour injustices.

Secretary General of the Malawi Congress of Trade Unions (MCTU), Madalitso Njolomole, urged the government to address challenges faced by workers, which he believes can play a role in promoting decent work conditions.
