African Herbal Mixture (AHM) has pumped K1.5 million into the 11th edition of the Mr Zomba Body Building and Powerlifting 2024 edition scheduled for October 15.
The event has since rebranded to African Herbal Mixture Mr Zomba Bodybuilding and Powerlifting Competition.
The natural medical company, through its wellness programme, has expressed hope that the competition will play a double role of developing sport while at the same time promoting healthy living.
The company’s director Joel Chirambo said the sport suits well with their line of business.
Mr Zomba event organiser Bright Limani said they are looking forward to a successful event that will feature Junior and Senior Categories.
Guest of Honor at the sponsorship signing ceremony was Deputy Mayor of the City of Blantyre Isaac Osman, who challenged local companies to emulate the gesture by African Herbal Mixture
Harris Kasambara won last year’s bodybuilding contest while Shepero Chitedze emerged as champion in the powerlifting competition.
