Member of Parliament for Karonga North Constituency, Mungasulwa Mwambande, has emphasized the need for the business community to support churches to foster peace and development in the country.
Mwambande said this at Lughano Last Church in Karonga during a fundraising ceremony the church held to buy a church vehicle.
” It is important to support churches in the country since they play an important role in promoting peace which is key for developing the country. Where there is peace, there is development,” Mwambande said.
Parish Minister of the Church, Reverend Mtwali Muyilaz hailed the parliamentarian and all those who contributed towards the project.
Among others, the church invited choirs from Mzuzu and Tanzania.
