Research and innovation remains key to finding long-lasting solutions to different social challenges affecting the country.
Mzuzu University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Wapulumuka Mulwafu, made the remarks during a press briefing ahead of the university’s first research dissemination conference scheduled for June this year.
He said research is vital for finding solutions in areas like health, education, environment, science, and technology, which is why the conference will bring together diverse abstracts on various topics to address these issues.
He said the Initiative aligns with Mzuzu University’s 2021-2030 Strategic Plan, that recognises Research, and Innovation to drive economic growth and achieve Malawi 2063 goals.
Director of Research at Mzuzu University Professor Fanuel Kapute said all is set for the research conference which is expected to take place on 5th and 6th June.
