IPCC’s work is important — Health Minister

Health Minister Khumize Kandodo Chiponda has emphasized that faith leaders are a critical partner for the health sector as they nourish the soul of those needing care and the caregivers.

Chiponda said this when different churches under the Interdenominational Pastoral Care Centre (IPCC) donated assorted items at the Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe as part of the commemoration of World Day of the sick, which is annually held on 11 February.

The IPCC is a chaplaincy department at the hospital and its board chairperson, Bishop Joseph Bvumbwe, pledged continued support, to complement government’s work in the health sector.
