LWB donates K3.5 million cheque to MISA Malawi

The Lilongwe Water Board has handed over a cheque  worth K3.5 million towards Media Institute of Southern Africa Malawi Chapter (MISA Malawi) Gala Awards.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Chief Executive Officer for Lilongwe Water Board, Silli Mbewe, underscored the importance of media  in promoting water, sanitation and hygiene for all.

“We are also delivering several services hence the need to work  with the media to raise  awareness on water and sanitation,” Mbewe said.

MISA Malawi’s National Governing Council (NGC) Member, Steve Zimba,  lauded Lilongwe Water Board for supporting the journalists’s body with the funds pointing out it will go a long way in meeting some expenses during the awards ceremony.

The MISA  Malawi Annual Awards ceremony is slated for  Saturday, 4  May 2024, in Mangochi.
