Themba la Mathemba Chikulamayembe has called for financial support for this year’s Gonapamuhanya celebrations.
The cultural festival is set to take place on October 5, at the Kadumuliro Cultural Site in Bolero, Rumphi.
Chikulamayembe expressed gratitude to individuals and companies that have already contributed, but emphasised that more funds are needed.
Gonapamuhanya celebrations Chairperson, Jean Kumwenda said invitations have been extended far and wide and many have promised to attend including those from Zambia, Tanzania and within Malawi.
This year’s theme is “Promoting Women, Youth and Education.”
