Old Mutual has donated K7 million to the newly formed Malawi International Arbitration Centre (MIAC).
Old Mutual Pension Services Company General Manager, Taonga Manda, said the money is meant to support the centre’s forthcoming symposium in Lilongwe.
MIAC Chairperson, Patrick Mpaka, said the new entity is designed to provide a private sector-led, neutral and independent facility for the resolution of commercial and investment disputes.
MIAC is being coordinated by the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) and the Malawi Law Society (MLS).
