Police in Zomba have arrested 19-year-old James Malizani for allegedly breaking into and stealing from two houses in one night.
Zomba Police Spokesperson, Patricia Sipiliano, said that Malizani broke into a house and stole items worth over K900,000.
Upon being spotted by patrolling officers, the suspect dumped the items and fled.
Later, that same night, the suspect broke into another house where he also stole household items such as Samsung TV plasma, carpet and sound system, all valued at K540,000.
He was arrested on his way to Liwonde with the stolen property.
