A technology company known as Daka Space Tech has challenged secondary school female students to pursue science subjects so that they acquire scientific knowledge and become space stars.
Chief Executive Officer of Daka Space Tech, Chisomo Daka, said the campaign is meant to create the next generation of space leaders.
Daka made the remarks in Lilongwe at Likuni Girls Secondary School where the campaign was launched for the central region.
On her part, the Deputy Headteacher for Likuni Girls Secondary School, Jean Kingston Chimbiya, said the coming of Daka Space Tech officials to the school is a plus to them as their school has taken a science-based education approach.
The campaign is supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering under the Frontiers Champions Programme.
