National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has revoked accreditation from Skyway and Millennium universities and their programmes due to non-compliance with the Council’s minimum requirements.
It has also withdrawn accreditation for five undergraduate courses at Exploits University due to the same reason.
NCHE Chief Executive Officer, Ambumulire Phiri, emphasised the need for tertiary education institutions to publicise the accreditation status of their programmes annually.
Phiri also cautioned all higher education institutions against offering registered programmes indefinitely without seeking fresh accreditaton for them.
NCHE guidelines stipulate that for any University or college to be accredited, it must comply with minimum standards in areas such as admission requirements, qualifications of faculty members, intergrity of assessment and awarding of academic qualifications.
