Africa Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) says Malawi is performing well in promoting reproductive health programmes.
During an inter-ministerial workshop on adolescent sexual and reproductive health and family planning in Lilongwe, AFIDEP’s Country Director, Professor Nyovani Madise, highlighted Malawi’s progress despite having one of the highest adolescent fertility rates globally.
Minister of Gender and Social Welfare, Jean Sendeza said this testifies that Malawi is committed to ensuring that there is universal health coverage to all, which is one of the key enablers of Malawi 2063 as well 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
