The Judiciary has signed an agreement with the Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation (MBC) to have court programmes aired on the broadcaster’s platforms to transmit different messages. One the shows is called ‘Khothi Lathu’.
The signing ceremony took place on Monday at the Supreme Court of Appeal premises in Chichiri, Blantyre.
Chief Justice Rezine Mzikamanda said their aim is to promote open justice and enlighten the populace on legal proceedings and encourage people to utilise courts.
Director of Engineering at MBC, Aidan Gumeni, expressed the organisation’s excitement to be among the institutions entrusted with the role of strengthening the rule of law in the country.
