Government has reiterated its commitment to improving the livelihoods of Malawians by implementing initiatives aimed at promoting financial independence.

Minister of Gender, Community Development, and Social Welfare, Jean Sendeza, emphasised this when she visited beneficiaries of the Price Shock Emergency Urban Cash Transfer in Mzuzu.

In her speech, Sendeza encouraged beneficiaries to invest the funds they have received in small-scale businesses and other socio-economic activities to improve their livelihoods and ensure sustainable development.
