Police in Limbe have arrested Bright Maisa for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.
Deputy Public Relations Officer Limbe Police Station, Chibisa Mulimbika, says the suspect hired the motorcycle in Ndirande on the pretext that he wanted to be dropped near Chichiri fly over, from where unknown men joined the suspect and assaulted the taxi operator.
However, the five got interrupted while in the act by a Limbe Police patrol team that was on the highway.
“The victim was issued a police medical report form and referred to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for medical examination and treatment,” he said.
According to Mulimbika, the four accomplices managed to escape but Maisa was arrested and investigations are underway to arrest the other suspects.
