Maranatha Academy opens applications for secondary scholarships

Maranatha Academy has opened applications for its 2026/2027 scholarship programme, which will provide full tuition support to 500 secondary school students across Malawi.

Speaking during a press briefing in Blantyre, Maranatha Academy’s Managing Director, Enerst Kaonga, said the academy has allocated K12 billion for the initiative, with each successful applicant receiving a scholarship valued at K24 million to cover tuition fees for entire secondary education.

Kaonga said the programme is open to Form 1 to Form 4 students from public, private and grant-aided secondary schools. Students already enrolled at Maranatha Academy are also eligible to apply.

“The scholarship is intended to cover beneficiaries’ tuition costs throughout their secondary education, easing the financial burden on learners and their families,” said Kaonga.

Applications for the scholarship programme are now open.
