Pan African Mining sends rock samples from Dowa for analysis in India

Pan African Mining Limited says it is carrying out rock samples exploration work in Dowa District under Exploration Licence No. EL714/24 issued by the Government of Malawi.

In a statement, the company says it has collected rock and soil samples strictly within its licensed area for geological assessment and laboratory analysis overseas.

Chief Executive Officer Suresh Kumar Reddy said a total of 67 kilogrammes of composite samples had been prepared and exported to an accredited laboratory in India for further testing.

He said the export was carried out with all necessary approvals, permits and documentation from the relevant authorities, adding that Malawi currently does not have specialised facilities for advanced mineralogical and geochemical analysis.

Reddy said sending exploration samples to internationally accredited laboratories is standard practice in the mining sector where such facilities are not available locally.

The company says it remains committed to transparency, responsible exploration, environmental stewardship and full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
