Silver Strikers have begun season seven of the Airtel Top 8 with a commanding 4-1 victory over Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos in the first leg of the quarter-final at Silver Stadium, Lilongwe.
Chinsinsi Maonga came off the bench to score a brace while Chimwemwe Idana and Zebron Kalima added the other goals for the Central Bankers.
Dedza Dynamos’ only goal came from Chifuniro Mpinganjira, capitalizing on a mistake by Silver’s goalkeeper Pilirani Mapira.
Silver, two-time champions, have participated in every edition of the competition while Dedza are making their second appearance. The second leg is scheduled for October 10th at Dedza Stadium.
