President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has issued a stern warning to those that take advantage of government resources to enrich themselves at the expense of Malawians.
The Malawi leader was speaking at Ekwendeni in Mzimba District following reported mismanagement of initiatives such as the social cash transfer.
Some beneficiaries of the social cash transfer are complaining that they did not receive the required amount.
Dr Chakwera said his government will make sure that such behaviour is thwarted for the betterment of all malawians.
Speaking earlier, legislator for the area who is also the Speaker of Parliament, Catherine Gotan Hara, hailed the government for the developmental initiatives being implemented in her constituency.
Among others, Gotani Hara said people in rural areas are now capable of having piped water, a development she said has contributed to a reduction of diseases that emerge due to lack of clean water.
