MWOS for job creation

Moors World of Sports (MWOS) Betting Malawi has pledged to provide more employment opportunities to Malawians, especially the youth, as a way of giving back to the communities they serve.

The company’s Managing Director, Tafadzwa Matope, made the pledge in Blantyre during a cocktail organised for its stakeholders.

“We want to create employment therefore we are working towards establishing more shops from Nsanje to Chitipa so that as people bet conveniently, a lot of them also get employment,” Matope said.

The company started its operations in the country this year and the Managing Director said they are impressed with how the business has performed thus far.

He said even though the business environment was unpredictable, there is hope that the economy will pick up soon.

“The economy has not been good but at least there is hope for the economy and we expect the business environment to improve as well,” he added.

The betting industry has been growing in the country contributing the country’s revenue generation and economic growth.
