Chiefs in Mangochi have hailed President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for securing funding for the Mangochi – Makanjira Road Project.
Addressing the Press in Mangochi, the Chiefs expressed optimism that the road will facilitate trade, food security and access to essential services in the district.
”The poor condition of the road has been of great concern among our subjects because of mobility challenges whenever they want to access service,” said Senior Chief Chowe
Present at the press briefing include Senior Chiefs Makanjira, Katuli and Luranga.
Dr Chakwera signed the $20 million financing project with Saudi Fund For Development in Saudi Arabia weeks ago for the construction of the 102-kilometre road.
