National Registration Bureau (NRB) has extended the registration period in phase 7 of the national ID and Death Certificate registration exercise in Rumphi, Lilongwe and Blantyre districts up to 6 May, 2024.
Principal Secretary for NRB, Mphatso Sambo, says they have extended the registration days after observing an increased number of registrants in the final days.
He further says registration of citizens at NRB is a continuous process, which means citizens can still access services at NRB District Registration offices when the Outreach Registration has moved to another phase.
According to NRB, documents and issuance of application forms are free and anyone found selling forms or asking applicants to pay for registration must be reported to the nearest police station.
