Government says investment in leadership and management training remains critical to shaping Malawi’s economic future.

Kaupa, a former lecturer at the institute, congratulated the alumni and urged them to actively contribute to good governance and national development, stressing that skilled leadership is key to driving progress.
Speaking at the same event, Minister of Justice Charles Mhango encouraged leaders to embrace professionalism and integrity, saying Malawi can achieve its aspirations by applying sound managerial skills and a strong work ethic, similar to countries like Singapore.

In his remarks, ESAMI Director Peter Kiuluku commended the Malawi Government for its continued support towards capacity-building programmes, urging graduates to put into practice the knowledge and skills acquired through their training.
The 2025 alumni celebration brought together professionals from across the region to reflect on leadership, governance and development.
