Balaka robbery suspects in custody

Police in Balaka have arrested two people suspected to have committed an offence of robbery with violence.

Balaka Police spokesperson, Gladson M’bumpha identified the suspects as Edward Paudala, 30, and Kondwani Davie, 29, who allegedly stabbed a businessman, Dyton Nasiyaya, 42, on the head and robbed him of a bicycle and two mobile phones on Monday at Kapasule Village.

After the incident, M’bumpha said Police apprehended the two and managed to recover one cellphone and a bicycle.

Meanwhile, the victim is admitted to Balaka District Hospital as both eyes were damaged during the robbery.
