India’s Sharda University has pledged to support the education of Duwama Muhammad who recently was also offered full scholarship for her secondary education by Maranatha Academy.
The university said it was impressed by Maranatha’s commitment to sponsoring the student’s entire secondary school education and has offered her an opportunity to further her studies in India after completing secondary school.
In a statement, Sharda University congratulated Ernest Kaonga for creating opportunities that open doors to world-class education and welcomed Muhammad to the university family.
The institution said the initiative aims to empower young people, nurture talent and develop future global leaders.
Duwama recently sat the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations at Mangale Primary School in Mangochi, becoming the first girl to do so since 2017.
