Mlambe Hospital goes solar

Minister of Energy Ibrahim Matola believes the new solar-powered plant at Mlambe Mission Hospital in Blantyre will boost healthcare services.

Matola was speaking during the launch of a 160-watt solar electricity system worth K400 million on Monday where he emphasised how it aligns with President Dr Lazarus Chakwera’s goal of enhancing power generation for the national grid.

He said the plant will enhance patient care by reducing reliance on ESCOM-powered electricity.
