Major Wales Aidin to be laid to rest

Business is at standstill at Nkope, particularly in Chiwalo Village, Mangochi District, where people have gathered for the burial of the late Major Wales Aidin.

Late Aidin was an aeroplane technician aboard the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Aircraft which crashed on Monday, claiming the lives of all people on board.

At Nkope Market, shops have closed and empty fish benches can be seen, signifying that late Aidin was a beacon of hope in the village.

A family member, Omega Mlelemba, has described late Aidin as a strong pillar of the family who has left a big gap.

Late Aidin was set to marry in October of this very year.
