President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has officially opened the International Blantyre Cancer Centre in Nyambadwe, Blantyre.
Upon arriving at the centre, President Chakwera was welcomed by Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima, Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Colleen Zamba, Cabinet Ministers, Chairperson of the centre, Thomson Mpinganjira and other government officials.
In his remarks, Mpinganjira said the decision to construct the hospital was prompted by the death of his wife, Barbara.
