Minister of Gender, Jean Sendeza, has described the late Mussa Chiwaula as a true disability rights activist.
Sendeza has said this during the funeral ceremony of the late Chiwaula at Kambuku Primary School in Chigumula, Blantyre, on Tuesday morning.
Speaking on behalf of President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, she said Chiwaula put everything in his life for the betterment of people living with disabilies.
The Minister said organisations like FEDOMA could not have been active today had it not been for Chiwaula.
Sendeza said Malawians should learn from Chiwaula’s selfless spirit by loving their country wholeheartedly.
He died on 8th October in Botswana at the age of 69 while working for the Southern Africa Federation for the Disabled.
He will be laid to rest at Misesa Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon.
