President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has inaugurated the School of Law, Economics and Government under the University of Malawi (UNIMA) in Zomba.
The newly constructed school falls under the Department of Economics at the institution. The campus has a state-of-the-art lecture theatre named after Ephraim Wadonda Chirwa who was a renowned economist in the department of economics.
UNIMA has also honoured former long-time lecturer in the Department of Economics, Wachinyamata Chipeta, by naming a library after him.
Earlier, President Chakwera also visited the Norris Chokhotho Laboratory for Chemistry. The laboratory teaches among other things how to make products like soap and perfume.
