The Ministry of Gender, Disability and Social Welfare says it is ready to inaugurate the Disability Trust Fund (DTF) this February.
Principal Disability Affairs Officer in the ministry Mayeso Malembo told MBC that the ministry wants people with disabilities to have easy access to the special fund.
Government introduced the Disability Trust Fund under the Disability Act of 2012 and the first disbursement of funds was done in the 2022/23 financial year.
