Chief of Health Services Reform in the Ministry of Health Dr Mathias Joshua is presiding over the launching ceremony of the deworming and iron folic acid supplement programme in Mzimba District.
The programme aims at reducing the prevalence of bilharzia, soil-transmitted worms and anaemia among school-aged children and adolescent girls.
After the launch, school-going children are expected to receive drugs for bilharzia, worms and anaemia.
In attendance at the function, are Inkosi Kampingo Sibande, officials from the Mmbelwa District Council, government representatives and schoolchildren.
