The Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB) says the applications for the 2024/2025 loan cycle have exceeded projections, with a total of 30,785 applications received against an anticipated 30,000.
Executive Director for HESLGB, Prince Phwetekere said the provisional list of names will be publicised for scrutiny by members of the general public to ensure a transparent and fair selection process.
Phwetekere further said publicising the names will also provide an opportunity for appeals if an applicant is not satisfied with the outcome of the selection process.
The 2024/2025 loan cycle closed on 15 July 17, 2024 having been open for 75 days since 1 May, 2024.
