K93BN programme to increase rural agriculture productivity

Government and the International Federation for Agriculture Development (IFAD) have agreed to upscale the Sustainable Agriculture Production Programme (SAPP) by coming up with a  second phase,  pegged at 54 million USD (about K93 billion).

Minister of Agriculture, Sam Kawale is presiding over the launch at Malingunde CDSS in Lilongwe where government, IFAD officials and partners are appreciating the successes farmers registered in the first phase.

The programme will contribute towards wealth creation and improve food and nutrition security among the rural population in Malawi.

SAPP II is a 7-year programme (2024—2030).
