The Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) has asked the newly sworn in Vice President Dr Micheal Usi to uphold the values of servant leadership as he embarks on a new challenge as the country’s second in command.
Through a press statement, MAM Chairperson Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad said the appointment of Dr Usi to the office of Vice President is inspirational and believes that he will serve Malawi with distinction and dedication.
“Dr Micheal Usi has impeccable and distinguished career in public service which will enable him to discharge the duties of Vice President efficiently and effectively,” reads part of the statement.
The Muslim Association of Malawi has since urged the Muslim community to render its unwavering support to him to ensure that Malawi achieves her development aspirations.
