Tobacco fetches almost K5,000 per Kg on market opening day

Chinkhoma Auction Floors has started selling Tobacco at $2.85 per Kilogramme (Kg) which is K4938.64.

Local Farmer, Justin Kenamu, says he is excited with the trends in prices and hopes to gain more from his labour.

Ten buyers are set to compete for the country’s green gold in the next few weeks.

President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to officially open the season.
