President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of the construction of houses for the country’s security agencies.
Chakwera said this at the Engineering Battalion of the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) in Kasungu where the government is constructing over 100 houses.
The houses are being constructed by Fidelis Construction and Castle Construction companies and most of the houses are at an average of 80 percent completion level and will be handed over in a fortnight.
The government is constructing 4,000 houses for MDF and 4,000 for the Malawi Police Service while the Immigration and Prison Department have been allocated 1000 houses each.
