MALAWI, ANGOLA SIGN PACT

Malawi and Angola have signed a general agreement on enhancing development cooperation in the sectors of transport, energy, trade and mining.

The development follows President Dr Lazarus Chakwera’s meeting with the President of Angola, Joao Manuel Goncalves Laurenco, in Angola’s port capital, Luanda, following the end of the 43rd SADC Summit.

Malawi’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Nancy Tembo and her Angolan counterpart, Tete Antonio, have signed the agreement on behalf of the two nations.

Addressing journalists, Tembo said the agreement will also strengthen ties between the two nations for the mutual benefit of their people.
