Minister of Information and Digitalization, Moses Kunkuku, says access to affordable smart gadgets remains a challenge despite the country having affordable internet.
Kunkuyu was speaking in Lilongwe during the handover of smart office equipment by Huwaei Technologies to the Ministry of Information.
He has since appealed to technology companies to ensure that affordable smart gadgets are available for Malawians on the market.
Managing Director for Huawei Technologies Malawi, Gu Mu, has meanwhile pledged continued support to digital innovations being implemented by government.
The equipment is worth K55 million.
