Police at Jenda in Mzimba have arrested three men for allegedly murdering Reginald Shaba,29, two weeks ago.
Public Relations Officer for Jenda Police Station, Macfarlen Mseteka, says the suspects have confessed to stabbing Shaba in the chest due to a disagreement that arose at a drinking joint in Embangweni.
“It is believed that Shaba was killed by the suspects, who were unknown then, when he was coming from a drinking joint. The suspects had been on the run since the incident,” he said.
Mseteka has identified the trio as Zacharia Nyasulu, Masida Nyasulu, and Kingsley Chunga.
The accused individuals now face charges of murder under section 209 of the Penal Code.
They are scheduled to appear before court soon.
