Maranatha Academy proprietor, Ernest Kaonga, has lauded Vice President Justice Dr Jane Ansah for her prayerful character, saying such leadership is key for Malawi’s long-term development.
Kaonga made the remarks during a Sabbath service at Uliwa Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church in Karonga District, where the Vice President worshipped with congregants.
He said Dr Ansah has demonstrated that leadership anchored in prayer, values and integrity is both achievable and necessary for meaningful national progress.
He also commended President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika for appointing Dr Ansah as his running mate, describing the decision as a reflection of commitment to principled leadership and service to the nation.
“Dr Ansah has shown that a leader who is grounded in prayer can make a positive contribution to the development of this country,” said Kaonga.
In her address, Dr Ansah expressed appreciation for the humility and spirit of selflessness she said were evident among people in the Northern Region.
She said she was moved by the generosity of the Uliwa SDA congregation and encouraged churches to continue promoting integrity and accountability in development initiatives.
The Vice President further emphasised the important role faith-based institutions play in nurturing moral values and supporting national development efforts.
