Police in Jenda, Mzimba, have arrested Zosiyilana Hara, 34, and Dan Mphande, 29, on suspicion of their involvement in the murder of Komani Nyoni, who was found dead on July 28, 2024, in Champhira.
According to Jenda Police spokesperson McFarlane Mseteka, the arrests were made on Wednesday.
Mseteka states Nyoni left home for beer drinking at Zosiyilana Local Pub on July 27, 2024, and never returned.
The following day, he was found dead at a nearby bush around Champhira.
Medical professionals discovered severe burns on Nyoni’s right hand, shoulder, and arm, indicating foul play.
The suspects have been charged with murder, contrary to section 209 of the Penal Code. They will appear in court soon.
