Humanity First, a humanitarian arm of the Ahmediyya Muslim Community, has clocked 30 years of its existence, touching over 17 million lives in different ways globally.
According to the Director of the Media arm of Ahmediyya Community Umar Safir, among other activities, Humanity First has established hospitals, schools, vocational skills centres and provision of clean and portable water in many countries across the globe most of which are in Africa.
He says that among other initiatives, the organisation intends to reach out to 7.5 million people worldwide by 2030 who have difficulties in accessing clean and portable water.
It also hopes to establish a large-scale climate resilient farming initiative for African countries such as Malawi to bolster food supply and generate income among beneficiaries.
Safir has revealed that Ahmadiyya Muslim Community pools funds together from its members that enables them to carry out humanitarian works worldwide.
Countries such as Tanzania, Eswatin, Ghana and Nigeria have already benefitted from the organisation’s humanitarian drive.
